On behalf of the Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, I am delighted and honoured to warmly welcome delegates worldwide to the Eighth Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference cum Second Cochrane Hong Kong Symposium and pre-conference workshops, taking place in the vibrant city of Hong Kong on 24–28 March 2026.
Over the years, the Pan-Pacific Nursing Conference has served as a pivotal international platform, uniting multidisciplinary healthcare practitioners, policymakers, academics and researchers around the world to share cutting-edge research and transformative insights in nursing and healthcare. Our previous conferences have successfully fostered effective strategies, innovations and collaborations, contributing to improved global health quality and outcomes.
The upcoming eighth conference, themed “The Future of Nursing: Innovation and Impact in Action”, will foster international collaborations to identify emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in interdisciplinary care, policy and education. It aims to develop actionable strategies for integrating best practices and innovations to maximise social impact and achieve sustainable development goals across the Pan-Pacific region and beyond.
As a signature event celebrating our School’s 35th Anniversary, we are committed to building on past successes and delivering an engaging programme that promises a fruitful experience for all delegates. This time, we are excited to feature our Second Cochrane Hong Kong Symposium, which seeks to amplify the significance, reach and impact of Cochrane’s high-quality, accessible evidence to advance evidence-based practice and policy formulation. By harnessing Cochrane’s extensive systematic reviews and evidence synthesis strategies, delegates will develop skills and competencies in utilising and producing essential evidence, ultimately enhancing informed health decision-making.
We are privileged to host internationally renowned experts as our keynote, plenary and symposium speakers, who will share their expertise, insights and experiences. During the conference, participants will engage in stimulating discussions on a variety of sub-themes, such as tech-driven innovations, health equity, big data analytics and genomics, all prioritising holistic, proactive and person-centred approaches to nursing, social and health care. To complement our main conference, there will be pre-conference workshops focused on the strategic design and implementation of systematic reviews, as well as the effective use and dissemination of review evidence.
This event promises not only professional growth but also a unique opportunity to network and immerse in Hong Kong’s dynamic cultural backdrop and warm hospitality. We anticipate an enriched agenda where your active participation and contribution will help generate practical insights, innovative strategies and collaborative approaches for better health outcomes.
We welcome you all to the conference and look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong in 2026. Let us unite to chart the way for a more sustainable, equitable and healthier future.
